  • Why did I build Examgap?

    I built Examgap to use in my own department. We were having students practise exam questions on a regular basis, usually as mini assessments. One day, watching my colleague enter assessment scores into a spreadsheet, it struck me how tedious the process was:

    1. Log into question bank for relevant exam board
    2. Select questions
    3. Print and photocopy (don’t forget to check the formatting)
    4. Give questions to students
    5. Collect questions back in (if using as homework, deal with inevitable lost work)
    6. Store papers until you’re ready to mark them
    7. Do marking. You did remember to print the mark scheme, right?
    8. Transcribe marks into grade book
